If you do it right, you can output plain text when stdout is not a tty - which is something fang does, fwiw :)

It still tries to put the terminal in raw mode or something. "cmd | less" doesn't work and requires "stty sane". I didn't investigate, but FYI.

Yes, its from the standpoint of me, as a developer, using these things to improve my own workflow... not to use to automate stuff.

Even the control master thing, I mentioned it goes against the purpose of the yubikey, but then I explain how I use it only for github and only for a few seconds to prevent having to touch the key nonstop when updating nvim plugins and such... IMHO its a good tradeoff...

Because of the burden of maintaining the hardware itself. We also already have everything else on AWS.

I mean dedicated hardware you rent from someone else (OVH, Online.net, Hetzner, PhoenixNAP, etc)

Not colocated hardware.
