We use MongoDB as our primary database (hosted with Mongo Atlas) here at Mixmax and it's been a pleasure to use. It's allowed us to move very quickly by not having to deal with schema migrations when adding new features. We have a few terrabytes of data and a query volume of about 1k writes a second.
