as an unintentional and perhaps unethical vegetarian of many years who hasn't read this book: eating dead things gives me the creeps because it makes me consider my own death and consumption which is unappetizing

So you only eat living things?

only eat live pikmin

How do feel about the live pikmin dying as it reaches your stomach? I'm assuming you swallow them whole rather than killing them with your teeth.

None of their natural predators seem to have teeth for chewing. So, yes, I think swallowing them whole is the most natural thing to do.

plants have cells and they are alive!

and genetically related to us

As a fellow ‘unethical’ vegetarian, eating dead animals just seems yucky. I imagine it’s a similar feeling to what most non-vegetarians feel when contemplating eating dog or cat meat.

exactly. welcome to downvote town

Give it time, I find the initial “ew you made me think a thought I don’t like” downvotes tend to be counteracted by the long tail of “huh actually that makes sense” upvotes. :)

we just took the keys from grandpa at 93. way way wayyyyy later than we should have. cant help but wonder how many years men breaking 90 and staying active have cost others in car accidents

wonder if these will end up in the willamette too https://www.oregonlive.com/news/2019/06/divers-pull-11-e-sco...

expected Oregon to leap all other states in education with the marijuana taxes over a decade ago and just no results

vote for pedro

right. working with junior devs should include teaching which reinforces thinking and problem solving fundamentals

skipped the byline and halfway through realized the voice felt familiar. if you like this and are unfamiliar with Radden Keefe then check out The Snakehead and Say Nothing. im sure everything he writes is great but can personally recommend those

casual 3 ball juggler who usually juggles fruit bc its fun to have a little pressure. might make a mess or ruin perfectly good food. my question:

sometimes when im really grooving ill have a ton of backspin. like a finger roll in basketball. is that bad technique or do pros do that too?
