I think it was inside based on this excerpt: “Opening Ghost’s package, purchasers would discover a handy information sheet that today gives us a sense of how some underground purveyors understood and promoted their wares.”

I appreciate you sharing this

I use the 40 watt “appliance bulb” incandescents that you can still get when feasible - like in my small office. But they only work for certain situations- hard to fully light a room on 40 watt bulbs, but for accent lighting they are great.

I dont think display is transparent, the eyes are an outward facing video of wearers eyes.

"Sorry, but we can't find that page." for https://grnh.se/c732fc453us

My bad! It looks like they just took that position down, so maybe it's been filled. I'm not directly involved in hiring so I'm often out of the loop on these things :)

If you're interested, you can use this link to join our talent community and we'll reach out when a position becomes available: https://grnh.se/b1bedbd53us

Sam Harris thinks this is true for religion as well... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WOAAKMA6Hk

Religion leads to alcoholism?

Also a core part of Keith Code’s teaching since I think the 70s. Highly recommend his school for any motorcycle rider. https://superbikeschool.com/the-curriculum/

Also from Keith Code, replete with terrible acting, the best instructional video a twist of the wrist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DK9AoAAy7uM

Just attended what I guess was the last conference a couple of weeks ago in SF. Attendance was about 250. It was a solid group of speakers, and yes, front end/ux centric, but not limited to that. Unfortunately I got covid on the trip, and then gave it to my wife and 7 year old, which essentially took us all out for the holiday.

According to the CDC, 30% of injury related deaths are TBI-related, and 14% of those TBIs are from car accidents. Why not have mandatory helmets for auto drivers too?

Because the car already has multiple redundant safety systems. The bicycle has exactly zero.

Maybe so, but auto accidents still result in lots of head injuries even with the existing safety systems.

You're right, if anyone was rational we'd all wear helmets in the car all the time.

It's all irrationality and a belief that cars are much safer than we pretend they are.

As someone who has worn a helmet in the car from time to time, a lot of cars don't even leave enough headroom available for someone 6' tall to wear the helmet without their head hitting the ceiling.

Is that a reason to adopt no safety systems for a bicycle?

Not sure if you've ever worn a racing/motorcycle helmet but the visibilty/mobility is not the same. People would shoulder check even less than they do now.

I'm talking about a bicycle helmet.

I think that'd be pointless, right?

Not sure I follow you, are you suggesting bicyclists should wear motorcycle helmets?

Why not mandate a HANS device for everyone? Basal skull fracture is no joke and happens often with head-on collisions...

Right - good point. And obviously my larger point is where do you draw the line with mandates? The arguments here are largely about preventing head injuries - so how far is too far?

Given trends started in the 60s, every year we add more and more safety measures so I guess nothing is too far in the future.

Ticketmaster could have done everyone a huge favor by simply staggering the sales for separate dates a bit and not trying to sell tix for every show all at once.
