Raspberry camera has small issue - it's sensor (along with lens housing) is not soldered directly on PCB instead it's glued with double sided adhesive tape. So by adding by introducing PCB mounted lens assembly you will probably end up with half focused, half blurry picture because sensor will not be parallel to lens.

I do admit that my system lacks precision, angular resolution, and lot's of other nice bells and whistles. But hey it was build over weekend including software. Also this is more like rotary stage demonstration rather full featured 3D scanner.
Well, Leadshine is mostly acceptable (but not Chinese fake!).
Please sum all components (custom PCB, Trinamic controllers, arduino, connectors, enclosure, shipping components, assembling,...) add some taxes and you will get almost the same price.
