I love when I perform all the due diligence tasks. You just can't counter that. Yes but, they did all the due diligence tasks. They considered all the factors. Every one. Think you have one they didn't consider? Nope.

But they didn't write "all". They wrote "other", which absolutely does not imply full coverage.

Maybe read things a bit more carefully before going all out on the snide comments?

In fact, they wrote "reviewing […] other due diligence tasks", which doesn't imply any coverage! This close, literal reading is an appropriate – nay, the only appropriate – way to draw conclusions about the degree of responsibility exhibited by the custodians of a living standard. By corollary, any criticism of this form could be rebuffed by appeal to a sufficiently-carefully-written press release.

You can enrich highlighting using information from the language server, can't you? I think JetBrains does this

Who wants to bankroll SerenityOS?

Ladybird has quite a few corporate sponsors now and is progressing quite well. I built and tested the latest sources over the winter break and it sort of works already. I posted on HN from it.

I don't think that one wants to be bankrolled. It'd go against its spirit.

Assuming good faith is a mistake now. Users need to be asking, demanding, proof, not just assuming anyone or anything else has their best interests in mind. I'm tired of seeing this; I'll assume good faith only once I'm not universally treated as an enemy to society.

With that said, Kagi has appeared friendly so far.

So it will be shutting down or gutted into a privacy nightmare. That's all I needed to see.

They're looking for commercial partners though.

I did a double take at "DID as identity" because Dissociative Identity Disorder shares the same acronym

Mojave never was an IPSW, because it never ran on Apple Silicon. I imagine this tool might just not support that at all.

LoganDark is right. I've personally never tried, and don't think it'd be easy for any macOS predating Apple Virtualization Framework. For that you'd need something like UTM since they're relying on QEMU - these configs might help: https://github.com/adespoton/utmconfigs

Ahh I see. UTM was what I was trying, so I’ll give those a look! Thanks

It is different: you give it sudo immediately so it doesn't have to ask.

Of course, many installers ask for administrator access anyway...

I don't think it's functionally different if you write sudo on the command line or if the installer uses sudo in the script.

As you said, most installers need to place binaries in privileged locations anyway.
