This and machines with 5090s are a completely different market.

The Steam Machine is marketed primarily as something sitting under your TV. I don't have 5090 under my TV money, 99.9% of people don't. That's not the target demographic.

Isn't the more obvious answer that the market research firm got their number wrong?

You could just use the last hyphen. It's not as simple since you need to scan the whole string, but it certainly doesn't seem like a challenge to me.

Yes but why pay that runtime cost for a problem the user can solve in human time using grep?

You mention in the article you have no direct reports. Who does engineering report into in that case?

You're confusing system efficiency and individual efficiency.

Same but with Forgejo and for the last 6 months.

I use 4 different banks, they all work with GrapheneOS.

Swipe input isn't the responsibility of the OS. Just install a keyboard that offers it.

Hey, I think everyone understands how they work by now and the pedantry isn't helpful.

Its a tale worth repeating because a minuscule percentage of people know or pretend to know how it works. Our view might be a bit skewed here on hackernews but normal people believe llms are thinking machines.

Then if it can't really reason on its own creation how do you expect it to be correct in what it does if it's simply regurgitating code parsed online?

actually I'm not sure everyone does
