South Dakotans (as opposed to South Carolinians) appreciate this because in a state dropdown you can just press S twice, instead of `south d`).


Or you could just press "SD" instead of "SC" and appreciate how is more intuitive


This only works if the "State" field in question uses state abbreviations. Frequently, such fields use the full name for each state. Therefore, `SS` gets you to South Dakota every time.


It also works with full names when search field supports fuzzy search with word matching (or abbreviation matching with a higher priority).

SS only works when the field is using the mechanism described in the blog, therefore it doesn't work every time
