I don't understand the moralised takes on what are essentially just interesting statistics.

From a climate perspective it's almost completely irrelevant how much electricity we use or what percentage is assigned to each thing.

The only thing that matters is that we keep atmospheric CO2 levels stable. We can't just reduce emissions by 50% or whatever, we have to actually just stop.

It's as if there were a water leak from the bathroom tap upstairs and people are talking about which hole in the ceiling would be the best one to plug. It doesn't matter how many holes are in the ceiling, it matters that the tap is on and the sink is overflowing.
