I love this part, I noticed times when I'm heavily into social media and online dating I have significant career stagnation. I'm no longer building projects to help myself learn.
Now that I'm social media free, I have much more time to make music, and to work on my side projects. I also tend to meet extremely high quality people just going about my day. Life is less stressful this way.
I know this won't be everyone's experience, but this is what's worked for me.
I found it also true for any engagement optimizing enterprise. News, Reddit /all, etc. are all just as bad at dumbing and numbing you down. It’s crazy how I’ve rediscovered things I used to enjoy before all the mindless browsing now that I’ve blocked basically every engagement driven website and app on all my devices
